How to Set Up ZoogVPN on a Cudy Router

A VPN client is a terminal device or software used to establish a secure connection between a user and a VPN server. By configuring your Cudy router to use ZoogVPN, you can encrypt your internet traffic and access geo-restricted content securely.

Setting Up ZoogVPN on a Cudy Router

Step 1: Access the Router’s Web Interface

  1. Open a web browser and go to http://cudy.net or http://192.168.10.1.
  2. Log in using your router’s admin credentials.

(For more details, refer to your router’s manual on how to log into the web interface.)

Step 2: Enable VPN

  1. Navigate to General SettingsVPN.
  2. Enable the VPN feature.

Step 3: Configure VPN Settings

Select the VPN protocol that ZoogVPN supports:

PPTP VPN

  1. Choose PPTP from the Protocol list.
  2. Enter the ZoogVPN server address (you can find available servers in your ZoogVPN account).
  3. Input your VPN Username and Password (provided in your ZoogVPN account).
  4. Save the settings and connect.

L2TP VPN

  1. Choose L2TP from the Protocol list.
  2. Enter the ZoogVPN server address.
  3. Input your VPN Username and Password.
  4. Enter the Pre-shared Key (available in your ZoogVPN account settings).
  5. Save and connect.

OpenVPN

  1. Choose OpenVPN from the Protocol list.
  2. Click on Browse and upload the OpenVPN .ovpn configuration file (download it here from the ZoogVPN dashboard).

3. Click “Save& Apply” and start the connection.

WireGuard VPN

  1. Choose WireGuard from the Protocol list.
  2. Click on Browse and upload the WireGuard configuration file from ZoogVPN. (To obtain the configuration file, you need to request it from ZoogVPN support)
  3. The interface and peer details will sync automatically from the configuration file.
  4. Save and connect.

Step 4: Adjust VPN Policies (Optional)

  • Default rule. Choose whether to allow or ban all devices from using the VPN.
  • Device-specific settings. Go to System StatusDevicesVPN to enable/disable the VPN for individual devices.
  • Site-to-site VPN. Allow communication between two separate network locations.
  • VPN Kill Switch. Ensure all internet connectivity is cut off if the VPN disconnects.
  • Domain & subnet routing. Specify which domains or subnets should go through the VPN.

Step 5: Save and Connect

After configuring the settings, save the changes and connect to ZoogVPN. Your router will establish a secure VPN connection, allowing all connected devices to benefit from ZoogVPN’s encryption and unblocking capabilities.
