A VPN client is a terminal device or software used to establish a secure connection between a user and a VPN server. By configuring your Cudy router to use ZoogVPN, you can encrypt your internet traffic and access geo-restricted content securely.
Setting Up ZoogVPN on a Cudy Router
Step 1: Access the Router’s Web Interface
- Open a web browser and go to http://cudy.net or http://192.168.10.1.
- Log in using your router’s admin credentials.
(For more details, refer to your router’s manual on how to log into the web interface.)
Step 2: Enable VPN
- Navigate to General Settings → VPN.
- Enable the VPN feature.
Step 3: Configure VPN Settings
Select the VPN protocol that ZoogVPN supports:
PPTP VPN
- Choose PPTP from the Protocol list.
- Enter the ZoogVPN server address (you can find available servers in your ZoogVPN account).
- Input your VPN Username and Password (provided in your ZoogVPN account).
- Save the settings and connect.
L2TP VPN
- Choose L2TP from the Protocol list.
- Enter the ZoogVPN server address.
- Input your VPN Username and Password.
- Enter the Pre-shared Key (available in your ZoogVPN account settings).
- Save and connect.
OpenVPN
- Choose OpenVPN from the Protocol list.
- Click on Browse and upload the OpenVPN .ovpn configuration file (download it here from the ZoogVPN dashboard).
3. Click “Save& Apply” and start the connection.
WireGuard VPN
- Choose WireGuard from the Protocol list.
- Click on Browse and upload the WireGuard configuration file from ZoogVPN. (To obtain the configuration file, you need to request it from ZoogVPN support).
- The interface and peer details will sync automatically from the configuration file.
- Save and connect.
Step 4: Adjust VPN Policies (Optional)
- Default rule. Choose whether to allow or ban all devices from using the VPN.
- Device-specific settings. Go to System Status → Devices → VPN to enable/disable the VPN for individual devices.
- Site-to-site VPN. Allow communication between two separate network locations.
- VPN Kill Switch. Ensure all internet connectivity is cut off if the VPN disconnects.
- Domain & subnet routing. Specify which domains or subnets should go through the VPN.
Step 5: Save and Connect
After configuring the settings, save the changes and connect to ZoogVPN. Your router will establish a secure VPN connection, allowing all connected devices to benefit from ZoogVPN’s encryption and unblocking capabilities.
